Videos are a powerful tool for spreading information. The Airumaküchi association, with the help of CIFOR, Fundación S.I., Elegante Productions and the Audiovisual Communications Laboratory, produced a video, introducing the Airumaküchi association, what they do and their challenges.
The video focuses in Puerto Nariño community motivations, work-plan and dreams in relation with their own identity as traditional hunters.
Conversations and interviews with associates and wise elders were used to develop the video.
The community was also accompanied and recorded at traditional daily-life activities, such as hunting trips, the preparation of traditional dishes or family meals.
Drones were used for getting additional visual perspectives.
During the process, hunters from “Los Kilómetros” (Leticia), visited Puerto Nariño and discussed with local hunters about the Airomaküchi´s association function, their duties, the problems they challenged and the prospective solutions which they defined, in order to build nourishment autonomy within their community.
Within the production and recording of the video, and as support for the “map your world” project, students from the “San Francisco de Loretoyaco” internee were trained.

Besides the recording of the video, the producers inquired students on their vision of the forest, the animals and their own nourishment safety.
The video will be soon available to be seen by Puerto Nariño´s community and it will be also be shown in different Colombian and abroad scenes.
